Homecoming!

This week was homecoming and complete blast. A guy in my apartment complex Quinn took me and I had such a great time...I would recommend it to anyone. Even though a lot of people did not want to go because it was what they called kind of reliving "high school", it was so fun! Also, there was fun homecoming parade, game, rock the mall, painting of the "D" road, and also a homecoming pageant. It was so fun...like I said. I thought I would just update all on what went on with that! I will update more later! :)

Classes.....

Well, this week has been an extremely stressful one. Whoever said college was just a "party" was so wrong. I have studied my brains out to the point where I feel like everything is just mush in there and I can't tell what is what anymore. I had 5 tests in two days, and I thought I was going to die. But, I guess we buck up and make it, because now it is such a relief to be done....at least until next week when I gotta do it all over again. College is definitely not even what I expected...still fun, but A LOT more studying then I ever thought I would have to do especially my freshman year. Also I am going to homecoming this week! Saturday....that should be fun. Anyway, that's all for now!

More traveling!

Well, to finish off the post high school tour I thought I would add some pictures of the different schools. I ended up going to my very own Orem, Pleasant Grove, and Timpanogos. It was really fun to go around talking to the different schools and letting everyone know about the opportunities at Dixie. For those of you who got my number, or who are coming down anytime soon, make sure you take a tour, or call me and I will take you wherever. You have to! It will help you decide whether Dixie is right for you or not. But you have just gotta do it. Posted are some pictures of me and my friends from orem, the tour, and me and my sister....oh and my new puppy! So cute. More soon!

Post-High School Tour

Hello all!!

Today was the first day that I helped in the post-high school tour, which is recruiting at all different high schools. Today I was at my own great school, Orem High! It was so fun seeing everyone, and I love getting my voice out there about Dixie. Honestly, I never thought I would love Dixie as much as I do. And I know it sounds SO cliche, but seriously, I was asked today what I don't like about going there, and really all I could think of was the heat at the very beginning of the school year. It was SO hot! But now coming back up north, it feels SO cold. So now the weather is PERFECT. It was 85 yesterday and it was so beautiful! Tomorrow I am headed to Timpanogos High School, and I will do another post with some pictures of the tour. I hope this finds all who read happy, healthy, and loving life!

A little sick...

Well, this week was kind of difficult for the first little bit because I ended up very sick this week. I guess I should explain, that I have some "health issues", if I may...haha. I have some pretty intense seizures, and this week I got an infection and was freaking out because I didn't know what to do about my classes. Can I just say communication with your professors is KEY. Even if they seem scary or intimidating in class, they are still human. So just got talk to them! Explain your situation and 9 out of ten times they will be SO great to work with you. Even my lab teacher called to check on me! How great is that?! You don't get that too often do you? I have also had fun with me and my roommates getting dressed up to go to the rodeo! And playing in our pool at our apartment, so there are some pictures of that! I hope this blog finds all who read it happy, healthy, and enjoying life! Go Rebels!

Looong Week!

Well, life here at Dixie is still great, and I absolutely love it down here despite the heat. Last week was crazy because I had so many tests I felt like a chicken with its head cut off! For math 1010 I have Dr. Banks, and I absolutely LOVE her. She is A) Hilarious, B) An excellent teacher and C) Her tests are hard but do-able. Let me just say, I hate math and always have....but for the first time in my life I actually love it. I also have biology and I have Dr. Allen, and had her test this week. Difficult, and she is a killer hard teacher, but let me tell you- you will learn the material and learn how to think and write and study. It is a great class if you are willing to work. I went into her test so nervous, but knew I had studied so hard, and actually felt like it was also do-able. So life was a little crazy this week for the first week of tests, which meant no social life for me! But it was great. And I got to drive home last friday back up to my home-town Orem, which is not a bad drive. All together I just heart Dixie. I really do love it so much! And this isn't a marketing ploy...this is one-hundred percent honest opinion of life at Dixie. Love it! More later!

Introductions....

Well, for my first post I thought I would just explain a little bit about me. I am from Orem, UT, and am a Freshman here at Dixie State College.... and I LOVE it! Perfect school for me. I love wakeboarding, watching funny movies, scrapbooking, cross country running, Operation Smile, being with friends and family, singing, swimming, and laughing til my stomach hurts. Oh, and I love The Office. So much. I am currently doing my pre-req's for nursing and am hoping to take my nursing career to orphanages in Kenya to help with the spread of the AIDS epidemic. Well, that is a little bit about me and what I love to do! Next blog I will let you know how my classes are coming along as we start to get more into the semester. Also! Posted is a picture of my lovely roommates who I adore! And who I met down here, just two weeks ago. Anyway, more later! Aloha!
